FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who is this for?

Everyone. No matter your level of biblical knowledge, we want you to attend. If you have a lot to learn, then great! These classes are for you! And if you are already an avid student of the Bible, then this is for you, too. Biblical Literacy is more than just knowledge. It is being able to apply, communicate, and share our biblical understanding with others. That happens best in a community. So come one, come all!

How does it work?

There are a series of classes that will rotate throughout the year. Each class can be taken separately and is 4-5 weeks in length.

Do I have to take the classes in order?

No. Classes will be offered on a rotational basis and participants are free to sign up for classes as it fits their schedules.

What is the commitment level?

We ask that when you sign up for a class, you are making a commitment to attend most, if not all, of the weeks for that particular class. If your schedule doesn’t allow for that, we ask that you take the class the next time it is offered. Also, each class will have weekly homework. Work will take less than 1 hour a week to complete.

How many classes are there?

There is no defined number of classes. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive set of classes that cover foundational beliefs as well as topics on Christian living.

Will there be childcare?

Kids up through 5th grade can attend the second service classes. An alternate activity will be provided for 1st through 5th graders. Kids should check in for the second service and then report to the designated room.

What about middle schoolers and high schoolers?

Middle schoolers and high schoolers are being asked to serve during this time with the kids program. They can either serve in a classroom or help out with our alternate activity. There is a place on the sign up form to let us know if they are interested.

Can my teenager attend the class with me instead?

Yes. We would love for our teens to be equipped with the knowledge we are presenting. We do ask that any teen who wants to attend make a commitment to take the class seriously and to engage in the work wholeheartedly.

What if I miss one class?

Our leaders can provide the slides from the class so that you can catch up. Also, key points from the previous week’s lesson will be reviewed at the start of each class.
